Our communities are microcosms of the world at large. Each community holds its own unique challenges, requiring tireless engagement to foster growth and prosperity. As Rotarians, we are blessed with the insight to identify these areas of need. It falls upon us to understand that in order to enrich the lives of our fellow community members, work must be done.

Throughout our long history, Rotary clubs have played a pivotal role in bringing about sustainable change. The collective energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment of Rotarians are the driving force behind the transformational work that we do.

As we all know, all our service projects, in any of our Areas of Focus, are always geared towards improving lives. Thus, in order to effect the change and sustainability we want to see, it is adamant that we direct our efforts to our communities. By gradually developing them into Rotary Community Corps, we are able to mirror the mission, vision, and essence of our organization. To empower our RCCs, we must recognize that every heart has the innate capacity to make a difference. Let us harness the potential of not just our clubs but of our RCCs. When all our communities are thriving and working alongside us, pushing forth our advocacies, we will see change and growth that are deeply rooted and unshakeable and the world becomes a much better place for everyone. It is a grand vision. RCC (formerly Rotary Village Corps) was first introduced in 1986 and later on was formally adopted as part of Rotary’s programs. Over the years, we have made a great impact with our RCCs. Let us do more this Rotary Year. It is a first in the history of our district that our efforts toward building RCCs are in this depth and scale. This will be our legacy to the world. And we are making progress, my dear fellow Rotarians. Continue this passion, drive, and determination as relentlessly as you can. This is how we truly Create Hope in the World.
